How long will it take to get my quotation?The average turnaround for a quotation is generally between 24-48 hours of the survey. However, it may take longer if there is additional information required, such as an access check at your destination. What is the best time to book a move?Moves are usually booked between 7-14 days before the expected move is to take place. However, in our peak times this can increase to 14-21 days.

What size are your vehicles?We have five vehicles ranging from transit vans to traditional removal lorries. We also have a smaller vehicle to accommodate locations with difficult access. The vehicles have side and rear access for loading purposes.

Who organises access and parking?You are responsible for ensuring suitable access and parking at both collection and delivery addresses. If unsure, inform your move consultant so Economic Moves of Chiswick can arrange an access check. Contact your local council for any necessary permits or cones, and notify neighbours in advance. If you're struggling with this, please give our team a call.

What happens when the crew arrives at my property?Your Economic Moves of Chiswick team will arrive in uniform, led by a team leader. It’s best to walk them through your property, pointing out any fragile items or those needing special care. Let the team leader know if you’d prefer certain rooms packed first. Items staying behind should be clearly marked or placed separately. Once everything is packed and loaded, check the property to ensure nothing has been missed. You’ll then be asked to sign a delivery sheet to confirm the move is complete.

Do you provide an unpacking service as standard?This is not included within our quotation as standard. Economic Moves Of Chiswick removal team will assist with unpacking, as time allows, on the removal day. A separate quotation will be provided if you require a full unpacking service. How long can I store my goods for?You can store your goods for a short period or as long as you require. Storage is charged on a monthly basis and you will receive an invoice/statement every month.

How can I pay for storage?You can pay by Cheque, Credit or Debit Card. A popular option is to pay by direct debit if you are storing for a long period of time.

What items are we not allowed to store?Flammable items, plants, paints and any open food, such as oils and sauces are not permitted for storage.

Am I fully insured whilst my items are in storage?Yes, our fully comprehensive AXA policy gives you peace of mind whilst your items are in the custody of Economic Moves.
